Hindustan Platinum Appoints Vijayalakshmi Iyer as Head – HR

Hindustan Platinum, a manufacturing company specialising in precious metal products and industrial solutions, has appointed Vijayalakshmi Iyer as its Head – Human Resources.

In her new role, she will lead the company’s HR function and oversee people, talent, employee engagement, learning and development, and organisational development initiatives.

Extensive Experience

She brings nearly two decades of experience in human resources across manufacturing, engineering, aviation services, and retail.

Before joining Hindustan Platinum, Iyer was the Head- Human Resources at Astec Lifesciences Limited, a subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet, where she led the company’s HR function for over two years.

Earlier, she worked with Otis Elevator Co. as Deputy General Manager – Human Resources, managing HR operations for the company’s West region in India.

She has also held senior HR roles at CelebiNAS Airport Services India Pvt. Ltd., where she managed HR operations for more than 2,400 employees.

A significant part of her career was with Siemens, where she spent over eight years in different HR leadership roles. Earlier in her career, she also worked with HyperCITY Retail India and Reliance Retail.

Iyer holds an MBA in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies (NML MILS).

She also completed an Executive Development Programme in Digital HR Leadership and People Analytics from XLRI Jamshedpur.
