JLL Opens 1.2 Lakh Sq Ft GCC in Hyderabad, Plans 1,600 Employees

JLL has inaugurated a 1.2 lakh sq ft Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad and plans to scale the facility to around 1,600 employees over the next two years.

The centre has been set up for JLL Business Services (JBS), the company’s integrated global operations platform.
Hyderabad centre to support AI-enabled operations
Matthew Rees, Chief Shared Service Centre Officer at JLL Business Services, said Hyderabad was selected for its deep talent pool and its ability to support JLL’s AI-enabled operating model.

JBS currently operates across six countries and employs more than 6,500 people globally. The new Hyderabad facility will add to the company’s global operations and is expected to support the planned increase in its workforce in the city.
The planned expansion means the centre could become a significant source of technology and professional jobs in Hyderabad over the next two years.
However, the 1,600 figure refers to the planned workforce at the facility and should not be treated as 1,600 immediate job openings.
Telangana sees continued GCC growth
Speaking at the inauguration, Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said the state’s GCC strategy is focused on creating employment as artificial intelligence, automation and changes in global business operations reshape the technology sector.

“For years, JLL has been the compass guiding global companies towards the right investment destinations. Today, that compass points to Hyderabad, and for good reason. In the last 20 months, Telangana has welcomed nearly 150 Global Capability Centres, creating nearly 1.5 lakh high-value technology jobs,” he said.
Sridhar Babu added that the state’s GCC strategy is aimed at creating jobs suited to changing technology and business requirements.
According to figures cited by the Telangana government, Hyderabad accounted for 16% of India’s total GCC office leasing activity between 2024 and mid-2026. GCCs also accounted for 42% of the city’s overall office leasing activity during the period.
JLL’s new centre adds to Hyderabad’s expanding GCC ecosystem, with global companies using the city for technology, shared services and other business functions.
The planned workforce expansion at JBS also adds to the city’s growing pipeline of GCC-related employment.
